Native vs imported listings

What 'imported' means; swap/offer only for imported; Buy Now only on native.

Native listings

Native listings are created on Swopsee: the seller added photos, title, description, category, and condition directly (or edited an import heavily). Native listings can support Swap, Make an offer, and Buy Now (if the seller enables it and sets a price).

Imported listings

Imported listings were brought in from another platform (e.g. Vinted). We pull in title, images, description, and category from the original listing; the seller then sets delivery options on Swopsee. Imported listings are swap-only: no Buy Now and no fixed-price sale. This keeps our rules and protections aligned with how the item was first listed.

How to tell

On the item page we indicate whether a listing is “imported” or native. If you don’t see a Buy button, it’s likely imported or the seller hasn’t enabled Buy Now.

Protections

Swaps and offers on both native and imported items are covered by our chat flow, delivery options, and (where applicable) Buyer & Swapper Protection and Refunds & Disputes Policy. The main difference is whether a fixed-price purchase (Buy Now) is available.
