Prohibited Items Policy

Items and listing types that are not allowed on Swopsee.

1. Purpose and scope

To protect users and comply with UK law, certain items and listing types are not permitted on Swopsee. This policy applies to listings, swap requests, messages, images, and any transaction-related content.

2. Always prohibited items

  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia.
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and hazardous materials.
  • Stolen goods or items obtained unlawfully.
  • Counterfeit items, replicas, and forged authenticity documents.
  • Human remains, body parts, or biological hazards.
  • Pornographic, exploitative, or illegal sexual content.
  • Items that promote violence, hate, or extremist organisations.

3. Restricted and regulated items

Some items may be restricted, regulated, or require additional verification before being listed. Examples may include alcohol, age-restricted products, medical devices, and high-risk collectibles. We may remove listings where legal compliance cannot be verified.

4. Counterfeit and IP infringement

5. Enforcement actions

  • Listing removal without prior notice.
  • Account restrictions, suspensions, or permanent bans.
  • Order cancellation and fund holds where risk is identified.

If your listing or account is actioned in error, you may request a review via support. We may ask for additional evidence and will assess each case under this policy and our Terms & Conditions.

7. Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time in response to legal, safety, or platform changes. Continued use of Swopsee after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
