Why we ask for your location

How location helps with matching, delivery, and locker availability.

Better matching

Your location helps us show you items that are practical to swap or receive. We can prioritise listings from your area (especially in our Cardiff-first phase) and still let you browse nationwide.

Delivery and lockers

Delivery options depend on where you are:

  • In-person meetups: We suggest safe meeting points near you (with a focus on Cardiff at launch).
  • Lockers: We show lockers and collection points near you and calculate availability and price.
  • Courier: We use your location (and the other party’s) to estimate delivery cost and time.

Without a location we can’t offer these accurately.

Privacy

We don’t show your exact address to other users. They see a general area or postcode-level information where relevant. Your full address is only used when you choose courier delivery and enter it for that purpose. Our use of location is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changing your location

You can update your location anytime in your account settings. This keeps matching and delivery options up to date.
