What are SwapCreds?

Trust and reputation; where they're visible; how they're updated.

What are SwapCreds?

SwapCreds are a trust or reputation signal on Swopsee. They reflect a user’s behaviour (e.g. completed swaps, reliability, following through on agreements). They’re meant to help you get a sense of who you’re trading with.

Where you see them

SwapCreds are shown on profiles—when you open another user’s profile (e.g. from an item page or chat), you may see their SwapCreds or a related badge. We don’t show SwapCreds in the main inbox or listing grid to keep the focus on the item and conversation.

How they’re updated

SwapCreds are updated based on activity—e.g. successful completions, timely shipping, and positive outcomes. We don’t display the exact formula. The idea is to reward reliable behaviour over time.

Use them as one signal

SwapCreds are a helpful signal, not a guarantee. Always check the listing, communicate in chat, and use our delivery and payment options. See Staying safe on Swopsee and Buyer & Swapper Protection.
