Types of notifications
We may send:
- Push (app): New message, swap/offer update, order or delivery update. You can allow or disable these in your device settings and in the app.
- Browser (web): If you use Swopsee in a browser and allow notifications, we can send similar alerts there. Manage them in your browser and in Swopsee account settings.
- Email: Important updates (e.g. password reset, order confirmation, dispute outcome). You can often choose which emails you get in account or notification settings.
Why enable them
Notifications help you respond quickly to swap requests, offers, and messages. If you miss a reply, the other person might think you’re not interested. For orders, we’ll keep you updated on shipping and delivery. See Messages and your inbox and Tracking your order.
Managing settings
In the app: open Account or Settings and look for Notifications. On web: check your account or profile for notification preferences. You can usually turn categories on or off (e.g. messages on, marketing off). Some emails (e.g. legal or security) may not be optional.
