Making an offer

Offer a different item or terms on native items; optional message.

What is “Make an offer”?

Make an offer lets you propose a trade or terms to the seller. You can offer one of your items, suggest different delivery, or add a message (e.g. “Would you take X instead?”). This option is only available on native Swopsee listings, not on imported ones. The seller responds in chat: accept, reject, or counter.

How to make an offer

  1. Open the item page and tap or click Make an offer.
  2. Choose the item(s) you’re offering (from your listings or add new), and optionally add a message or suggest a different delivery method.
  3. Review the summary and send. A chat thread is created; the seller is notified and can reply in chat.

Offer vs Swap

Swap is a direct “I offer this for that.” Make an offer is more flexible: you can propose a different item, bundle, or terms. Both lead to chat for negotiation. Swap is available on all listings (native and imported); Make an offer is native-only.

What happens in chat

The seller can accept your offer, reject it, or send a counteroffer (e.g. different item or delivery). You can do the same. Once you both agree, you complete the trade using the chosen delivery. See Counteroffers and negotiation and Chat during a swap or offer.

Delivery and fees

If you agree on locker, courier, or HQ verification, one or both of you may need to pay the relevant fee. See Agreeing delivery in chat and When you pay on Swopsee.
