When you don’t pay
You don’t pay Swopsee for the item itself when you swap—you’re trading item for item. For in-person meetups you also don’t pay a delivery fee. So many swaps are completely free on our side.
When you do pay
You pay through Swopsee when:
- Buy Now: You pay the item price plus any delivery or service fee. See Buying an item.
- Locker: The person who books the locker pays the locker fee (in a swap, you might pay for your side or agree who pays in chat). See Using lockers.
- Courier: The recipient (or agreed party) pays the courier fee. See Courier delivery.
- HQ verification: The buyer (or whoever receives the verified item) pays the HQ verification fee on top of the item and delivery. See Swopsee HQ verification.
All of these are paid securely through our payment provider. See Payment methods and Fees on Swopsee.
Stay on platform
Paying through Swopsee keeps you covered by our Buyer & Swapper Protection and Refunds & Disputes policy. Don’t pay by bank transfer, cash in the post, or other off-platform methods for Swopsee transactions. See Keeping your account secure.
